Jordan Shade was born in South Africa in a town called Springs, in the province of Gauteng. Jordan grew up in a small town called Heidelberg which was named after the town in Germany. Although growing up as an Afrikaans speaking child, Jordan always showed a great interest in the English language and also excelled in the language at school. During his childhood years Jordan found interest in watching drama series such as Dallas and Dynasty and was intrigued by series such as the A-Team, Knight Rider, Air Wolfe, MacGyver and Magnum P.I. which sparked his love for the film industry. He also started training in various styles of Martial Arts. In secondary school Jordan took part in school stage productions but was mostly involved with the school choir. In 1991 he started playing Rugby for his school playing Wing, Full Back and Centre, he also took part in Athletics and represented his school in the sprint, high jump, hurdles and the long jump.In high school he continued training in Martial Arts, as well as competing in Athletics and Rugby. Even though he loved stage productions Jordan never had interest in doing school productions and decided to leave it until a later stage, which was in 1999 when he joined a local drama school.After High School Jordan wanted to study Acting and Film production but his parents advised him to study a professional degree instead. He was accepted at the University of Pretoria to study Urban Planning. Within the first month Jordan applied for a position as a Disc Jockey at the Community Radio Rock Station, Tuks FM. He was accepted and for the next two years he worked as a DJ at the radio station, also taking on Marketing work for the station in his extra time. At the end of his second year he was elected to the Faculty of Engineering, Built Environment and Information Technology's Faculty Board as Vice President and also in charge of the sport side of the Faculty. Due to the immense amounts of work he was faced with Jordan quit his job as DJ and focused on his studies and the Faculty Board. In 2004 Jordan was elected to be the President of the same Faculty Board, this enticed him to attempt new horizons in terms of Politics. Jordan decided to start a Party on campus called the Dailies and to run for the SRC (Student Representative Council) of the University of Pretoria. After elections he had achieved his goal and was elected to the SRC, where he was in charge of Campus Security and Day Houses.After Jordan finished his 4 Year degree he started working as an Urban Planner and continued this for approximately 2 years. Jordan desperately needed to get into the Film Industry. He decided to start his own company in order to have more time to do acting courses and go for auditions. He resigned as an Urban Planner and together with a friend started a company focusing on business solutions. Jordan started attending acting courses and after his first acting course he signed with an agent. By the end of his second acting course he auditioned and got a small part in the Endemol Production on SABC 3 named Isidingo as the character Rocky. Show less «
